Great Falls - Bonnie Lee Cosby, 82, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 1, 2018 following a long battle with kidney disease and more recently cancer. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.
She and her twin sister, Bev, were born February 14, 1936 in Great Falls, Montana to Frank and Mildred Schock. She attended Great Falls High School, graduating in 1954. She started her long career with Mountain Bell in 1963 and retired in 1993. She remained active in the local Telephone Pioneers of America, serving as president.
In 1956 Bonnie married Jack Sand and they later divorced. She married Paul (Bing) Cosby on her birthday in 1963. They were married for 28 years at the time of his passing in 1991. Most of Bonnie's life was spent in Great Falls, except for a four year stint in Minnesota for Bing's job and a similar period when she moved to Tennessee in the late '90s to be close to her daughter Shari and family.
Bonnie was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, playing cards with family and watching sports, where she was a passionate and vocal fan, whether in the bleachers or on the sofa. She had a big heart and a kind and gentle demeanor and will be missed by all who knew her.
Bonnie is survived by her twin sister Bev Creekmore, sister Geri Roman, her children, Steve Cosby (Carolyn), Tami Shabazian (Rod), Bing Cosby, Paul Cosby (Jamie), grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul Cosby, brother Frank and daughter Shari Wilson.
A celebration of life will be held this summer in Great Falls.
