February 9, 1941 ~ April 27, 2016 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Curtis Otto Wetherell, 75, of Cascade Mt, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 of natural causes at a local care facility. A Memorial Service in honor of his life will be held on Friday, May 6, at 11:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 301 4th Ave N, Cascade, MT.

Curtis was born on February 9, 1941 to parents Curtis and Ruth Wetherell in Clairemore, OK. They later moved to Lake Jackson, TX where he graduated high school and is where he later met and married his first wife Catherine Stone. From that union they were blessed with two sons, Tim and Mark.  Curtis enlisted with the Air Force in April of 1961 and proudly served 32 years finishing his career with the Montana Air National Guard as an Electronics Technician. He was full-time active duty and served on several bases both overseas and domestically.

After retiring from the Air National Guard, Curtis made Cascade MT his home. Living in one of the most beautiful areas in the world on the Missouri River, cradled between the mountains in Wolf Creek Canyon near Cascade, he created a business that grew out of his interests for researching data. He became an Entrepreneur in pursuit of providing Data to entities in need of historical information on potential business interests. His company would become one of the larger employers in the town of Cascade; a town which he supported by supporting the local charities.

While at a local function for Square Dancing, Curtis met Sherry Breuer and became her “Angel” as a teacher who helped Sherry learn to dance in addition to becoming her loving and devoted life partner with whom she spent 15 wonderful years before his untimely passing.

Curtis is survived by his loving partner, Sherry Breuer; mother, Ruth Alberta Wetherell of Lake Jackson, TX; sons, Timothy Martin Wetherell, Mark Allan Wetherell; extended family, Derek (Danielle) Breuer, Eudeen (William) Smith, Danyell (Brian) Bickel; grandchildren, Alexa, Gabrielle, Kylie, Sam, Logan, Alex, Sean, Josie, Alicia and Brittany Watkinson and four great-grandchildren.
