I started teaching in Winnett with Ben. He always enjoyed telling you a story, especially about himself, The one I enjoy to this day, was ( The day he went out before daylight to get his deer. Creeping along in the early dawn, saw these two eyes thru the bush, and shot his first Owl!!) Goodby Good friend! God Bless!!

So sorry for your loss. Ben was a wonderful fun loving man. Enjoyed my years and working with him at the Admin. My thought and prayers go out to you Bobbie and girls during this time of mourning. He will be missed.

I was so sorry to learn of Ben's passing and your loss. I smiled to remember his quick smile and friendly manner, as well as his support when I taught at GFHS, to include Elizabeth's participation. I hope you are able to celebrate his wonderfully full life, and I'm sure that he lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Sorry to hear of your loss. When he was teaching in Winnett, he bought me in a slave auction, I was probably in 5th or 6th grade, and we spent a day building a dog house. He was a very patient man. Good memories.
