Gretchen Johannah Kinnison passed away Aug. 25 at Peace Hospice House in Great Falls, surrounded by family and friends.

Gretchen was born on March 22, 1941 in Cut Bank and grew up in the Valier area. She moved to Conrad, Choteau, and finally settled in Great Falls where she’s lived for the past 33 years. Gretchen was a kind, gentle, loving and generous woman who never met a stranger. She was born a people person and genuinely enjoyed meeting new people. She will be missed dearly by many.

Gretchen was proceeded in death by her son Arthur Bryant (Bo), her parents, sister Maggie, and brother Mark. She is survived by sister Deana Henderson of Choteau; her children: Shannon Myllymaki of Great Falls, Michelle (Scott) Merry of Missoula, and James Zumbrun of Choteau; grandchildren Jenny, Geoff, John, and Cole; and numerous great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Special thanks goes out to the nurses at Hospice House, and her caretakers Sherry and Marcia. Thank you for all you’ve done to make her last days comfortable.
