A Memorial Service will be held Friday June 30th, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints in Fairfield. Interment will follow at the Sunset Hills Cemetery, Fairfield.

Scott was born in Choteau, MT in 1954 to Jack and LaVonne Haynes. He was the youngest of 4 children. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1972. Scott married Lori Heagy June 16, 1977 in the Cardston, Alberta LDS temple. They happily worked together with their 5 children on their farm west of Fairfield. Scott prided himself in taking great care of his land and cattle.

Scott loved family (especially time with his grandchildren), a good laugh, fishing, the mountains, and in general being outside. You could often see him with his eagle eyes on the ground looking for arrowheads, and he was usually the first to spot wildlife or the whales on the ocean. He enjoyed participating in sports while in high school and loved watching his children do the same. He was an avid Fairfield Eagle sports fan to the end.  Scott served on the board of the Golden Ridge School for several years. He also served in many capacities as an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints including Augusta Branch President, High Counselor, and a fun-loving teacher of the youth. He left a legacy of honesty, hard work, and play!
