Irene Marie (Winebrenner) Goss Hodgskiss, 94, of Choteau, passed away June 13, 2016 at Teton Medical Center.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Choteau United Methodist Church, 12 1st Ave NW. A Graveside Service will immediately follow at the Choteau Cemetery.

Irene Marie Winebrenner was born March 12, 1922 in Great Falls to Kenneth and Christeena (Lents) Winebrenner. She was raised and educated in the Kalispell area.

On March 8, 1941 Irene and Arthur Goss were united in marriage in Helena, Montana. To their union, they had four sons, Delman, Raymond, Buddy and William. They enjoyed 36 years together, before Arthur’s passing in 1977.

Irene married George Hodgskiss on April 11, 1981 in Augusta, Montana. They combined their families, with his six children. They enjoyed 14 years together, until George’s passing in 1995.

Irene was an Eastern Star for 46 years, a Past Worthy Matron of the Augusta Chapter. She drove the School Bus for 20 years and made a loving home for her family. She was a talented musician, playing the organ, piano and the banjo. She also greatly enjoyed dancing. In her free time, Irene enjoyed relaxing with a knitting or crocheting project, and a good book.

She is survived by her sons, Delman A. (Joyce) Goss, Raymond L. (Robin Sargent) Goss and Buddy N. (Patty) Goss; daughter-in-law, Leslie Goss; step-sons, Brad (Jonel) Hodgskiss and Doug (Ann) Hodgskiss; step-daughters, Linda Mickelson, Shirley Hodgskiss, Marjorie (Jim) Stott and Carla (Tom) Peebles; 29 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Luzier and Leona Dougherty.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Arthur Goss and George Hodgskiss; son, William A. Goss; four brothers; one sister.
