Welcome to the memorial page for

Kim Renae Reynolds

June 15, 1957 ~ June 6, 2017 (age 59) 59 Years Old

THE QUEEN KIM

Kim ReNae Reynolds, 59, has left the Castle. On June 6, 2017 she could no longer handle the devastating blow from Hillary’s election loss. She was born in Mohall, ND on June 15, 1957 to Bud and Shirley Varty, just in time to one up and forever steal her sister Tara’s birthday. They moved to Ulm at the age of 6 months and then to Great Falls in 1958. She graduated from C.M. Russell in 1975 where she loved to cheerlead and worked as a fashionista at Kmart. She then went on to earn a Medical Secretarial Degree from Kinman Business University and began working at JCCS.PC. Later she worked for H.C. Smith Construction and Central Bank where she made many lifelong friends.

On August 11, 1979 she married her wonderful husband John Bruce Reynolds, and from this happy union their lives were blessed with three children. She tolerated them all until the love of her life was born in 2015, her grandson Ryder.

After her children were born, Kim proudly took on the role of house wife and homemaker. She ran a home daycare program, volunteered for PTA, and still found time to be part of various other organizations. Together with the help of Nancy Dutchak, they ran the “Lunch Bunch” program for many years. Kim also found time to enjoy the great outdoors camping and boating, as long as she had a shower and her hair did not get wet. She was an avid bowler (even owned a ball) and often broke 100 without using a handicap. In the quiet moments of her day she enjoyed sewing and quilting, and was a connoisseur of shoes.

Kim was an enormous fan of education and continued taking college classes when she could. Eventually she earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Services and went on to earn a master’s in Counseling. She worked for Missouri River Manor as a social worker and then spent the next 10 years at Opportunities, Inc. First as a Family Advocate at Head Start, and then as the Emergency Services Supervisor at the Community Resource Center. This was a job she loved and proudly served her clients.

She was a beautiful person who always thought of others. Laughing, singing in the car, and family were her favorite things in life. She enhanced the lives of everyone she met.

Kim is now with her father Alfred W. Varty and is survived by her husband of 37 wonderful years John Bruce Reynolds; mother Shirley J. Varty; Daughter Janna J. Reynolds (Joshua M. Frank); sons Cody J. Reynolds, Dustin C. Reynolds; sisters Tara McAlpine, Patty Varty (Judy Walters), Becky Varty (Catherine O’Day); brother Kurt Varty (Diane Varty) and her favorite grandchild Ryder J. Frank.

The family would like to thank Dr. Harrer and his wonderful staff at the Sletten Cancer Institute for the amazing and comforting care she received. Also, Borries Spaghetti Sauce, oh how she loved it.
