Kip Alan Seydel, also known as “Kipper” or “Kipster”, 59, of Great Falls, passed away surrounded by family and friends in his home on December 22, 2017 after a 5-year battle with cancer.
Kip was born in Seattle, WA on April 23, 1958 to Franklin and Joyce Seydel. Kip grew up in Okabena, Minnesota where he graduated in 1977. Shortly after graduation he enlisted with the United States Air Force. During his time with the Air Force, he completed Tech School and was transferred to Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, Montana. He rose to the rank of a Tech Sargent grade E6 and after 20 years of service retired honorably from the Air Force in 1997. He started working for Pasta Montana where he worked as the Maintenance Project Lead until his passing. Kip enjoyed many hobbies, including but not limited to, bowling, hunting, target shooting, anything and everything to do with cars and spending as much time with friends and family as he could. Kip was also a part of local chapters of The Elks Club, The Eagles Club and The America Legion.
Kip was proceeded in death by his father, Franklin Seydel and is survived by spouse, Connie Robertson; mother, Joyce Seydel; daughter, Jessica (Chris) Mitchell; granddaughters, Zaidyn & Avery Mitchell; brother, Terry (Suzie) Seydel; sisters, Cindy (John) Dawson and Doreen (Kerry) Loudenslager. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be available in the Montana Skies Room at Croxford Funeral Home from January 3rd – January 5th during the hours of 9am-5pm. A Formal Visitation will be held Friday, January 5th from 6pm-8pm in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home. Kip’s Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, January 6th at 1pm at the Elks Club, with viewing available for one-hour prior.
