You will be missed my friend. I was never around Lance that he didn't have a smile on his face and bring a smile to mine. He was one of a kind.

I wish I could have seen you one last time. Never enough time. Too many miles. I am glad for the time I spent with you in Great Falls and glad I was able to introduce you to your Granddaughter, Jessica. This is very hard. I love you dad.

As a fellow member of SF/SOG (at CCS/CCN) in the same time frame in Vietnam I extend my heart felt salute to you and your service. "To know your enemy you must become your enemy" (Sun Tzu) and you Sir bravely proved your abilities to do that by the company you kept at CCC and the missions I imagine you participated in that few civilians or conventional servicemen will ever understand! God Bless! and as Lord Byron wrote - "Seek out—less often sought than found—
A Soldier's Grave, for thee the best;
Then look around, and choose thy Ground,
And take thy rest."
