Linda K. Goldenstein Storrusten, 66, of Great Falls, passed away on May 20, 2016 following a long heroic battle with lung disease and diabetes.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home on Saturday, May 28, 11:00 a.m.

Our beautiful mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend was born on May 11, 1950 in Kalispell, MT.   She was raised in Bozeman, MT with her parents Alvin “Buzz” and Georgia Goldenstein and 3 siblings, Eldon, Jack, and Timothy Goldenstein.  Linda graduated from Bozeman High School in 1968.  Shortly after graduating, she moved to Great Falls, MT to reside with her cousin Sheila (Goldenstein) Ruffatto.  It was there she met the love of her life, our wonderful, loving father- Don Storrusten.  Linda and Don were married on November 7, 1969 in Great Falls, MT.  They have 3 children- Chad, Jodi, and Dane.  Linda worked for Haggarty Motors as a secretary for approximately 3-4 years, followed by Eddy’s Bakery for 15 years as a bookkeeper, and then for Benefis Hospital for 20 years as the Office Manager for the Maintenance Department, until retiring in 2010.  Linda grew up on the Goldenstein Ranch and thoroughly enjoyed that lifestyle.  Linda grew up raising and riding horses and was very passionate about them throughout her whole life.

Linda enjoyed life to the fullest.  She enjoyed people in general and was always the “life of the party!”   She was kind hearted, sensitive, caring, and had the most incredible personality one could ever imagine.  She was strong-willed, spoke her mind, demonstrated integrity and a strong work ethic; was incredibly independent, extremely talented and intelligent.  Linda always put everyone else’s needs before her own and was the most amazing wife and mother that her family could ask for.  She taught her children to follow their dreams, to never let anyone tell them they couldn’t achieve their goals, and to stand up for what they believed in.  Linda truly touched the heart of anyone who came into contact with her and the world was most definitely a better place because she was in it.  Linda was known for many things, including, but certainly not limited to, her beautiful eyes, intoxicating smile, and her amazing sense of humor.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her children and grandchildren with all of her heart.  She loved reading and thoroughly enjoyed watching Nascar and NFL. She especially enjoyed harassing her family via text and phone calls during games!  Her favorite team was the Pittsburg Steelers and her best looking player/professional football player boyfriend was Troy Polamalu.  Her favorite Nascar driver was Tony Stewart.  Linda brought so much joy and laughter to everyone she was around.  She will be desperately missed by so many!

Linda is survived by her loving husband Don Storrusten; sons, Chad (Teri) Storrusten, Dane (Kristen) Storrusten; daughter, Jodi (Doug) Kirkwood; brothers, Eldon Goldenstein of Wichita, KS, Tim Goldenstein of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Nathan Storrusten, Gavin Storrusten, Gage Braden, Hunter Braden, Quinton Kirkwood, Trace Kirkwood; one great grandchild, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by both of her parents, Alvin (Buzz) and Georgia Goldenstein; brother, Jack Goldenstein, and Nephew Todd Storrusten
