Marguerite “Muff” Mader, 64, of Great Falls, passed away from respiratory distress on Sunday, May 14, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life for Muff will be held at a later date.

Muff was born on May 20, 1952, in Monroe, WA to parents James and Marguerite Cooper. In 1970, she married Orville Jacob Mader with whom she spent 18 years of marriage. She and Orville enjoyed many hours on the pontoon boat as well as the countless trips camping with their family and friends. They later divorced, and Muff went on to enjoy the remaining years of her life with her life partner Lester Martin. Together they made new memories with their own camping trips as well as many exciting trips to Las Vegas.

Though many hobbies and interests brought Muff great joy, nothing delighted her more than the chaos and laughter that occurred when she was surrounded by her grandkids. She loved family gatherings, enjoyed time spent with friends at the Frontier, but her world revolved around her kids and grandchildren.

Muff is survived in death by her daughters Kim (Curt) Popham, Tammy (Joe) McDunn; son, Jason Mader; brothers, Pat (Penny) Cooper, and Bob Clark; sister, Laurie Murphy; 4 grandchildren, Jessica (Alex), Jave, Destiny, Dusty, all from Kim; 4 grandchildren, Mason, Kaylee, Mackenzie, Lacey, all from Tammy.

She is preceded in death by her parents James and Marguerite Cooper; life partner, Lester Martin; ex-husband, Orville Mader; and sister, Julie Cooper.
