Marian Irene Gallagher, licensed acupuncturist, 60, died on April 18, 2016, in Auburn, CA surrounded by her family, after living with cancer for many years.

Marian was born in Hackensack, NJ on May 18, 1955. Marian moved to Great Falls in 2002, after having lived in the Boston, MA area. She was raised in Menlo Park, CA. She graduated from Brigham Young University in International Relations and went to New England School of Acupuncture as a later career change.

She was a gifted healer and during her 30 plus years, helped thousands of grateful patients with various medical conditions.

Marian loved skiing, tennis and working in her garden. She was an avid reader and loved socializing with friends and family. She had a great sense of humor, was a great listener and eager to help others. She was deeply spiritual and believed in the power of both human and heavenly angels who help us here on earth. Fiercely independent, Marian overcame obstacles in her life, and still found ways to accomplish important things for herself and her family. She loved "a good deal" and was always fashionable, on a budget, with the help of her hobby of "thrifting."

Marian is survived by her husband Richard Wallace; children Jake Wallace, Joe Wallace and Juligrace Wallace; parents A. William and Dolly June Gallagher; as well as siblings, Peter J. Gallagher, Linda A. Kenedy, Joyce D. Bradshaw and Mark W. Gallagher.

She was recently preceded in death by her beloved dog, Bridget.

She was a great listener, compassionate and practical- she will be greatly missed by many.

A memorial service will be held on April 30, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Croxford Funeral Home, 1307 Central Ave., Great Falls.
