Marie L. Pettit, 84, of Cascade, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Peace Hospice of natural causes. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 2:00 PM in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Marie was born on January 8, 1933, in Great Falls, MT to parents William and Lucy Klock. After high school, she attended Montana State University in Bozeman. On October 4,1952, she married who is the love of her life, Robert Pettit.  Together their lives were blessed with eight kids.  Marie was a homemaker extraordinaire as a devoted wife, loving mother, skilled seamstress and a jack of all trades. She also found time to work at Tom’s Market for a period of time. She thoroughly enjoyed the 57 years she had with her husband before his untimely passing on May 19, 2009.

Marie was the Treasurer for the Cascade Baptist Church and a proud member of the Great Falls Quilters Guild. She was also a member of the PDQ Quilt Group and Komforters for Kids. She won multiple state fair ribbons for many of her quilts. Her talent and skill was nothing short of perfect.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents, William and Lucy Klock; husband, Robert Pettit and brother, Tom Klock.

She is survived in death by her daughters, RoseMarie (Steve), Linda, Judy (Grant), Diane, and Sue; sons, Robert Jr (Patrice), Bill, and Donald (Rose); sister, Joyce Thies; brother, William Klock; 16 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
