To all of Mary's family, my condolences and sympathy. Learning of her passing brought a small rush of memories of my growing-up years.
As I recall, Mary and her family lived in west Great Falls. Never saw her or her family other than at the back door and kitchen of their bungalow. I guess she and my mom (Jeanne Moore) were friends because they both grew up in Harlowton. When they got together at her house, they always talked about sewing or quilting. I hung out with her son Jim, a bit older than me.
Memory is an odd thing. Based on my preschool impressions, Mary was nice.
