Mary Ann Schalin, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Beehive Assisted living in Great Falls, MT, just one-day shy of her 83rd Birthday.
Mary Ann worked as Administrator at Life Care Nursing Home in Lakewood, CO for many years. Her nursing degree was achieved from Sacred Heart Dominican College in 1956. During her college years, she met and married the love of her life, Airman Arthur Schalin on November 2, 1956.
She is proceeded in death by her husband of nearly 29 years Art and grandson-in-law Tyler Leidholdt.
She is survived by her children, Arthur T. (Kari) Schalin of Great Falls, MT, James K. Schalin of Dacono, CO, Jerie Ann (Jeffrey) Low of Westminster, CO. Six grandchildren- Michael Low and Denai Low of CO., Terrance (Elexis) Schalin of TX, Tasha Leidholdt of CA and Trina Schalin of MT. Mary Ann had one great-grandchild with three great-grandchildren arriving any day.
As a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she was very much loved and treasured. We will remember her for her strength of spirit, remarkable sense of humor, love of shopping, the joy and pleasure she got from the simplest things in life. We loved you, mom and grandma and thank you for all the wonderful memories you have left to each of us – your thoughtfulness, kindness, friendship and deep love of family.

Her wishes were for no funeral, an internment will be at a later time in Helena at the Fort Harrison cemetery.
