Melvin (Mickey) Buchholz, 75, of Great Falls, passed away at his home on December 22, 2017 due to medical reasons. There will be no services held at this time. There will be a family memorial held at a later date.

Melvin was born in 1942 in Britton, South Dakota to Alvin and Menga Buchholz. He finished his schooling and then started to work.  Melvin was in the U.S. Army and would later become a realtor in Great Falls, Montana. Melvin found and married the love of his life and soulmate, Inge (Pretzl) Buchholz. They were married in 1964 sharing a beautiful life together for 53 and a half years. In those 53 and a half years they raised four children.

Survivors are wife, Inge Buchholz of Great Falls; sons, Alvin (Karen) Buchholz of Great Falls and Chae (Marlita) Buchholz of Great Falls; daughter, Renate (Brian) Ophus of Lewistown; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Melvin was preceded in death by his son, Weldon Buchholz.
