Michael Brooke King, 71, of Choteau, MT passed away Tuesday, August 1st, 2017 at home of natural causes. Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home.

Mike was born on May 27th, 1946 in Loma Linda, CA to parents Edward and Lenora King. He later went on to graduate high school in Carson City, NV just before being drafted in 1966. Mike proudly served three years in the United States Army stationed in Germany. Upon finishing his tour, Mike returned home to Carson City where he met Dorothy Curnow who he later married in 1970. Together their lives were blessed with a son and a daughter. They later divorced in 1975.

Mike spent the majority of his working life as a slot machine mechanic for the casino industry and later as an optician. He loved reading and hanging out at John Henry's, drinking coffee, and shooting the breeze. He was always available to provide a helping hand to his friends and neighbors. A loving father and dear friend, Mike will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived in death by his daughter, Rachel (Blake Martinez) King; son, Shannon (Daylen) King; brother, Edward Charles (Cindy) King; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and (one on the way).

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lenora King.
