Mildred Dobeas

MIldred Dobeas, 93, of Great Falls, passed away peacefully December 24, 2017. A visitation will take place at Croxford Funeral Home, Wednesday January 3, 2018 from 6:30 – 7:30PM.

Mildred was born on September 20,1924 at Columbus Hospital in Great Falls, MT to Wilbur Marion Cavitt and Vivian Ann Edmister. She then graduated from Galata High School in 1941 and also from Great Falls College in August of 1942. She married Frank Sonnemaker on November 7, 1941. They settled in Montana where they began their family.

Mildred worked for the First State Bank in Shelby, MT and later as a food stamp agent for the Welfare Dept. from which she would retire. Mildred and Frank divorced in 1967 and she moved to Great Falls. She then married Vince Hajek in Coeur D'alene, ID on July 17, 1978. Vince died on February 26,1990. She later married Ed Dobeas in 1992, divorcing in 2016.

Mildred was a great organizer and was always on top of meeting her obligations. She loved music and was an expert harmonica player; she also loved to dance and listen to Jim Reeves. She enjoyed the Seniors Center and was a member of the First English Lutheran Church.

Survivors include daughters; Sharon Dobson (Cut Bank), Judy Turvey (Sun River), Linda Hulin Sonnemaker (Battleground), sister Lucille Russell (Conrad), Grandchildren, lots of Great-Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren

Mildred was preceded in death by her two husbands; Frank Sonnemaker and Vince Hajek, as well as her two sons Jerry and Dennis Sonnemaker.
