Ray Hanel Jr., 69, of Great Falls, peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Peace Hospice of natural causes. All are welcome to a Gathering of Family and Friends being held Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 5:30 PM at Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St S, Great Falls, MT.

Ray was born in Glasgow, MT to Ray and Evelyn Hanel. He entered the military and served his country in Vietnam. He retired from the government and went on to receive a certificate to teach.

Ray is survived by two brothers, Gary of Beaverton, OR and Garlyn of Pendleton, OR; his sister, Darla Whitehead of Truckee, CA; sister-in-law, Joan; nephews, Dean, Wade and Travis; and niece, Tracy.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Hill County Cemetery in Havre, MT. A BBQ with Family and Friends will be held the following day.
