Robert Lee Scott

February 13, 1951 ~ June 29, 2017 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Robert Lee Scott, 66, passed away in Ridgefield, WA on June 29, 2017. He took his last breath in his beautiful garden, with his wife and five children by his side. Cause of death was related to complications as a result of living with diabetes for many years.

Bob was born on February 13, 1951 in Great Falls, MT to his mother, Gladys, and father, Gerald Scott. He grew up in Great Falls with two older siblings, Raylene Fox and Gary (Bud) Brandon.

Bob had an adventurous spirit, which was reflected in his most memorable jobs. Bob was proud of his accomplishments as a commercial fisherman in Alaska, hard-rock miner in Idaho, and grain elevator operator in Great Falls.

Bob married the love of his life, Sandra Korst, in Great Falls on January 3, 1970. Sandra and Bob celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary in January. Bob and Sandy raised five children and provided a firm foundation based on their devotion to family and love for each other. They later moved from Great Falls to Vancouver and eventually settled into their home in Ridgefield.

Bob cherished his family, loved to garden, and enjoyed exploring nearby areas. He shared his joy of exploring through road trips with his wife and children. One of his favorite spots was his backyard garden, where he loved hearing the wind whisper through the trees. Family gatherings always brought a smile to Bob's face. He enjoyed playing cards and loved animals (especially his cat, Mia).

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Scott; daughter, Rachel Peppers (Chris); son, Robert Scott (Stacey); son, Brad Scott; daughter, Jennifer Bolds (Michael); son, Nicholas Scott (Jill Valdez); sister, Raylene Fox; 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many extended family and friends in Montana and Washington.

Bob was predeceased by his mother, Gladys Scott; father, Gerald Scott; grandparents, John Elmer and Bessie Freeman; brother, Gary (Bud) Brandon; father-in-law, Gerald (Shorty) Korst; and brother-in-law, Thomas Geer.

Funeral service to be held at Croxford Funeral Home on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00 am. Bob will be laid to rest with his mother and grandparents in Highland Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will be held following the funeral service.

Bob was a kind and gentle soul who touched many lives and will be dearly missed by family and friends.
