Stanley Dwight “Toad” Evans, 73, of Havre, MT, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Peace Hospice from heart failure.  Cremation has taken place under the care of Croxford Funeral Home.  Per his wishes, no services are being held at this time, however, the family will hold a memorial service to be announced at a later date.

Born September 8, 1942 in Brainerd, MN to Benjamin Earl and Freda Lefferson Evans, Stanley was raised in Sunburst, MT.  He married Catherine Anderson in Shelby, MT in 1963, and they were blessed with three sons.

When Stanley returned from his tour in the Army, he went to work for Halliburton, retiring after 29 years of service. Still active in retirement, he went to work for Summit Health Club where he retired for the second time after 15 years.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Catherine; sons, Stanley and Benjamin; daughter-in-law, Kay Evans; sisters, Diane Evans and Faye (Herb) Brobst; brothers; James, Marvin (Carol), and Kenneth Evans; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Those who have preceded him in death include his parents; son, Andrew Evans; four brothers; one sister; two sisters-in-law.
