Vernon Eugene Seidl passed away Monday morning, February 1, 2016 at the age of 85. He was born February 6, 1930 to Anton Seidl and Millie Hilde Seidl in Great Falls, MT where he has lived his entire life, graduating from Great Falls High School in 1948.
He was a lifelong carpenter mainly being a cabinet maker, he also did lots of building and house repairs. He was a very hard worker all his life.
Vernon and Mary J. Lorang were married December 2, 1950. This union lasted his lifetime- they celebrated 65 years together December 2, 2015. Two children were born to their union, daughter, Pamela and son, Anthony.
With the help of his nephew Jon Rein, Vernon did a reenactment of his father’s first Air Mail delivery with the very same stage coaches- only using matching mules to pull them. Thanks to Jon who located the original airplane used to bring in the mail to town, making all this take place.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane; daughter, Pamela Jean (David) Castner; son, Anthony Earl Seidl; grandsons, Kyle Ryan (Allison) Castner and Sean Trevor Castner; very special and wonderful great-grandson, Chase Parker Castner.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Millie Seidl; brother, Earl Seidl; sisters, Theresa Harpine, Sylvia Ladd and Agnus Graham; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Per his request, no services are planned.
