Victoria Grace Raines, known as Gracie by all those who loved her, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 due to a heart condition. She was 7 years old. Visitation for Gracie will be held Friday, May 27th from 6pm-8pm in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 28th at 2:00 pm at the same location.

Gracie was born to April and Edward Raines, Jr. on February 18, 2009 in Dallas, Texas. She spent the first fourteen months of her life in Kerens, Texas before her family moved to Great Falls, Montana. She attended Sunnyside Elementary for kindergarten and first grade. The friends she made there will miss her very much.

Gracie missed many things from Texas, most of all the family farm where she could be found chasing grasshoppers, riding the mule, or fishing at the pond with Mommy, Granny and Aunt Jen Jen. She loved baking with Granny and feeding the cows with Poppy.

 She also loved reading, swimming, hula hooping, building with legos, playing her cool math computer game and having ice cream with Grandma, Pop Pop and Jace. Gracie’s tenacious and outgoing personality drew people to her; her love of singing, acting and story-telling were endearing traits and will be missed greatly in our daily lives.

Gracie is survived by her parents, April Michelle & Edward Louis Raines, Jr. of Great Falls; aunts, Jennifer (Paul) Lee of Mesquite, TX, Shawnda Winter of Great Falls, and Becca (Marcus) Chavez of Mesquite, TX; cousins, Cameron Lee and Jace Winter; grandparents, RD & Vicki Lewis of Kerens, TX, Louis & Denice Raines of Hobson, MT, and Rusty & Melody Harrison of Garrison, TX.

Those who have preceded her in death include her great grandparents, Foster & Betty Jett; great grandpa, Don Doresy; great grandma, Chlotea Harrison; and great grandparents, Sherman & June Raines.
