John T. Keith III, 75, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024 in Great Falls, Montana.
John was born in Redford Township, Michigan on August 5, 1948 to John Keith II and Ann E. Keith. Upon his high school graduation, he went on to pursue a career in criminal justice. After many years of rigorous schooling, John received his doctorate and began to build a name for himself as a lawyer. He would do this for the next 30 years before his retirement. While he was at work fighting the law, he was also busy rangling his children back home. He had two kids, Rachel and Mike Keith. They grew up hearing all sorts of things come out of his mouth. Two of his favorite sayings were, “Any better it would be wrong” and “So rare a good vet could save it”.
In his off time, John practiced many hobbies. He tried his hand in carpentry, car repair, electricians work, and woodwork. He loved to tinker with anything he could get his hands on. Figuring out their inner mechanics was John’s favorite puzzle. His curiosity vetted him to be a talented musician as well. He practiced all sorts of instruments varying from strings to percussions. Most of all, John loved to be outside, submersed in nature. He enjoyed hunting and the serenity that accompanied it’s soft winds. He would perch high in the mountains for hours on end until he caught something to come home with.
John is survived by his son, Mike Keith; his daughter, Rachel Keith; his sister, Tena Frear; and his three grandsons.
He was preceded in his passing by his parents, John Keith II and Ann Keith.
