“The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart.”- Helen Keller. Alice Hatten believed in loving her family, as well as everyone and everything around her. She has left us but she is still in our hearts.

There will be a viewing at Croxford Funeral Home in Great Falls from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday, October 21, 2017 followed by a Graveside Service at the Cascade Hillside Cemetery at 2 pm.

Alice was born in Orrin, ND.  She married William Hatten and later relocated to Montana, where she called home. They were blessed with a daughter, Stacy. Alice loved Montana and everything it had to offer. She enjoyed the vast countryside and beautiful skies, the western mountains, the winding roads, and the peace and tranquility. Horseracing was Alice’s favorite pastime with her husband and daughter. Alice loved her little dogs, watching a good baseball game, cooking, playing cards with loved ones,  a good cup of coffee, and most of all she loved her family. She was a devout Catholic and mother. The last years of her life were spent in Orlando living with Stacy and her grandkids. She will be missed by everyone and forever remembered for her compassion, care, and love.

Those who have preceded Alice in death include her parents Frances (Bachmeier) and Jacob Schmitt; husband, William Hatten; beloved sister, Anna (Chester) Harmon and Florence Bachmeier; brothers, John Schmitt and Phillip Schmitt; step brother Wendelin Black

Alice is survived by her daughter, Stacy Collins; grandchildren, Jaeyda and Jalen Collins, and Royce Jackson, all of Orlando, FL and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly.
