Barbara Ann Steele, 62, of Great Falls, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 due to complications from COPD.  A Visitation will be held Thursday, July 12th at 10:00 AM in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home with the Funeral Service starting at 11:00 AM.  Following the service, the Burial will take place at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Fort Harrison, Helena, MT.

Born on September 26, 1955 in Cody, WY to parents William and Caroline Wallrich Brown.  Barbara was raised in both Cody and Powell, WY, graduating from Powell High School in 1974.  She married Daniel Allen in Billings, MT in 1973. They had one daughter, Danelle in 1975. This union ended in divorce in 1976.  Barbara attended Sheridan College in Sheridan, WY, earning her LPN degree in 1981.  On January 23, 1993 she married the true love of her life, Larry Steele, joining two families into one, remaining together throughout the remaining years of her life. 

Barbara worked for many years at the Cody Nursing Home, as well as a private nurse.  She was secretary for the American Legion Auxiliary #130 and historian for District 8.  She was very active in Nicotine Anonymous, helping many people to quit smoking.  While in high school she was a barrel racer at the Cody, WY Stampede Rodeo.  Barbara was a collector of many different items. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, and playing games with the family. She was especially loving on her grand babies and great-grand babies.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Larry of Great Falls; daughter, Danelle Parks of Midwest, WY; stepdaughter, Rebekah Steele Davis of Great Falls; stepsons, Timothy Steele of Great Falls, Ronnie Steele of Portsmouth, VA, Larry Steele of Des Moines, IA; brothers, Donald Brown of Mobile, AL, William Brown of The Villages, FL,  Bradley Brown of Billings, MT; her sister-in-law, Renate Brown; grandchildren, Tyolena, Chrysler, James, Eric, Samuel, Harlee, Mackinzi, Nicholas, Cooper, and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Jace, Anastasia, Charlie; and her service dog, Dee Ogee.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, Caroline Wallrich and William Brown; brothers, Robert David and David Patrick; granddaughter, Blue Cerina.
