On Saturday, March 31, 2018 we bid farewell to our loving mother, grandmother and sister, Deborah K. Short. She passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Gone too soon but always in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held this Saturday, April 7th at 2:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus, 906 Central Ave. West.
Born on June 16, 1953 in Great Falls, MT to Daniel and Lillian Jarvey, Deborah attended local schools before marrying Frank Haleakala. Although this union ended in divorce, they were blessed with several children. She found love again with Robert Short, and they remained together until his untimely death.
Deborah loved her family and was happiest spending time with them. During her last two and a half years she lived with Jen Taub-Smith, whom she loved like a daughter.
Survivors include sons, Dustin Jarvey, Owen Haleakala, Frank (Jen) Haleakala; sisters, Dorothy (Rick) Langan, Patty Perez, Judy (Dick) Hurd, Kathy (Jeff) Fenner, Luanne Carrier and Terri Jarvey; brothers, Jack Jarvey, Alan Jarvey, Larry Jarvey, and Jim (Carla) Carrier; grandchildren, Kendyl Jarvey, Ty Duran, Dustin Jarvey, Lizzy Haleakala, Vince Short, Kole Writing Bird, Ariana Taub-Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Short.
