Dixie Davison Obituary

Dixie L. (Stanley) Davison was born December 9, 1928, to Margaret and Earl Stanley of Dean, Montana. On June 19, 2018, she died peacefully in her sleep at her residence, Hosanna Home in Great Falls, Montana.

Dixie was raised on “The 40” in Dean, Montana. She attended and graduated from Absarokee High School. She married Donn Barnett Sr. and lived and worked in Billings with their four children. Dixie later moved to Great Falls where she met and married Lee Davison. Dixie raised her family while working full time as Civilian Personnel Payroll Administrator on Malmstrom Air Force Base. She retired after 33 years as a GS-14.

Known for her sense of humor and unwavering devotion to her husband and her children, Dixie led a life full of laughter and love. She loved spending family vacations on “The 40” with her family, siblings, and her mom. In her retirement, she and Lee spent as much time as they could there with family. It was her “happy place”.

Even in her later years with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis, she retained her sense of humor and joy in life. Without doubt, her special gift was that those that she loved, she loved well.

The family would like to sincerely thank the Hosanna Home staff for their loving care. Their dedication and love for our Mom went above and beyond just personal care. We are FOREVER grateful.

Dixie is survived by her siblings; Joanne Masterson, Charles (Joyce) Stanley, four nieces, her children; Tracy (Dennis) Nasset, Donna (Rod) Bastian, Donn Barnett Jr., and Lisa (Scott) Camilleri, grandchildren; Samantha Nasset, Courtney Halvorsen, Ashley Laird, Adam Camilleri, Matt Camilleri, Brett Camilleri, and Jason Camilleri, her great grandchildren; Sage Halvorsen, Kimber Halvorsen, and Cayden Laird.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 43 years, Lee Davison.

At her request, no services will be held. A private celebration of her life will occur this summer when all those who loved her are able to attend. The Family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hosanna Home at 1521 3rd Avenue North, Great Falls, MT 59401.
