Edwin "Eddie" Everett Orr Jr.

Edwin Everett Orr Jr, 70, resident of Great Falls, loving husband, father and good friend, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 8, 2018.  A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 2nd at 11:00 AM in the Rose Room Chapel of Croxford Funeral Home.

Born in Cut Bank, MT on March 2, 1947 to Edwin and Juanita Orr, Eddie moved with his family to Great Falls where he graduated from Great falls High.  He attended MSU in Bozeman and graduated from the College of Great Falls with a Bachelors’ Degree in Elementary Education. 

Eddie was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1967, serving in Vietnam in 1968-1969.  In 1969, shortly after returning home to Great Falls, he married Donna Chapman.  They remained together for almost 49 wonderful years until his passing.  He worked at Team Electronics, Soundroom, Avitel and was the manager of Conlin’s Furniture.  He loved being his own boss, so he opened Unique Sleep, and then Wood and Mattress Express.  Prior to his retirement he worked at Gorehill Self Storage.

An avid outdoorsman, Eddie loved fishing and hunting, boating on the local lakes, and heading out on his 4-wheeler.  Without a doubt, times spent with his family and friends brought him his greatest joy.

Survivors include his loving wife, Donna; sons, Chris Orr of Great Falls and Trenton Orr also of Great Falls; sister, Connie Marino of Laurel, MT; daughter-in-law, Dawn Rambo-Orr; grandchildren, Shianne Holcomb and Tucker Orr. 

Those who have preceded him in death include his parents and sister, Sherrie Orr-Smith.
