Elizabeth “Betty” Kenik, 91, of Great Falls, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
Betty was born on April 13, 1928 to Merton and Bernice (Mock) Proctor in Great Falls, MT. She was raised on the family ranch in Eden, MT, graduating from Great Falls High School in 1946, and going on to Concordia College where she studied music. Long before that however she met her future husband, Raymond Kenik while still in the 4th grade. They were married on August 12, 1950 in Great Falls. They spent the next 68 years happily married, until Betty’s passing.
Betty was proud of being the best mother and wife she could be. She wore many hats: homemaker, worked on the Girl Scout Council in the 60’s, a bookkeeper for the family business, Keneco Inc. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, music, even singing in the Great Falls Symphony. She was on the board of the Montana Chorale, Community Concert Association, and a member of PEO.
She leaves behind her husband, Raymond Kenik of Great Falls; sons, Nick (Beverly) Kenik of Renton, WA, Laurence (Sandy) Kenik of Cascade; daughters, Beth Kenik of Great Falls, SueAnn (Leland) Adams of Nevada, MO; granddaughter, Katarina, and two great grandchildren, Kacey and Jesse.
Betty goes on to join her brother, Merton Proctor.
