Gloria Anderson Obituary

Gloria L. Anderson, 90, of Minot, Formerly of Berthold, ND and Great Falls, MT passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in a Minot hospital.

Gloria Lucile Brosseau was born on September 9, 1927 the youngest of four children born to Clara L. (Cole) and William F. Brossueau on the family homestead in Content, MT. She attended country school with her three brothers and then moved to Malta, MT before attending and graduating from the St. Thomas Academy in Great Falls, MT while her father worked with the Reclamation on Sherburn Dam at Glacier Park. She enjoyed summer breaks at Many Glacier, while attending the St. Thomas Academy. She always loved to return to Glacier Park throughout her life. She worked in Helena, MT for Mountain Bell as an operator before marrying the love of her life.

On July 1, 1946 Gloria married Philip R. Anderson, together they raised four children in Great Falls, MT, Michael Joseph, Karl Raymond, John Patrick, and Kathy Jean.

Gloria worked as a nurse’s aid for many years before becoming a hairdresser in 1974. She and Philip worked at St. Mary’s in Glacier Park for several years after Phil retired from the State of MT as a Brand Inspector. She did hair and Phil “Wrangled” dudes.

They spent their retirement traveling between Glacier Park and various places in Arizona for the winter months. Gloria was a Den Mother, Alter Society member, President of the Montana Cowgirls Association, and President of the Berthold Senior Citizens. She loved God, her family, (especially her 10 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren, and three great- great grandchildren), reading, and flower gardening. Gloria moved to Berthold North Dakota in 2000 after the death of her husband and lived there until 2012, when after some illness moved to Edgewood Vista in Minot.

Gloria is survived by her children, Michael (Pam) Anderson, Karl (Donna) Anderson, John (Dolene) Anderson, and Kathy (Mark) Monti; 10 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and three great- great grandchildren.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, William and Clara Brosseau; husband, Philip; daughter, Eileen; and three brothers. She will be missed greatly by her family.

There will be no visitation, however friends may sign a guest register at Croxford Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian burial Thursday June 21 at 11:00 AM: Holy Spirit Catholic Church, with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Luncheon to follow burial at Calvary Chapel of Great Falls.

Mom always said “Bye for now”.
