Harriet Jane Bakly, 75, of Great Falls, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2017, due to natural causes. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1015 15th Ave. South, Great Falls.

Harriet was born March 14, 1942 to Glenn & Melissa Corbett in Salmon, ID. Her family moved to Great Falls, where she went to Whittier Elementary, Paris Gibson Junior High and Great Falls High School She met the love of her life, Edward Bakly, and the two wed in 1965. They shared many treasured memories and were blessed with five wonderful children.  She went on to become a secretary for numerous years for Appliance and Refrigeration Clinic. She became a house wife, and was like a mom to all the neighborhood children. Harriet was always trying to improve her Church and herself. She was a volunteer candy striper. She held many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a counselor at summer camp.

Harriet had many hobbies, she loved creating things and solving problems. Her favorites include puzzles, playing scrabble, crocheting, making cookies, baking, violin, piano, choir, birthday cards, coloring, and computer games. She also enjoyed going to the movies, the concerts at Gibson Park, caring for her husband, Edward and their children. Her life was her family.

Those who have preceded Harriet in death include her loving husband of 52 years, Edward John Bakly; parents, Glenn & Melissa Corbett; sister, Joyce Corbett; and brother, Gary Corbett.

Survivors include her daughters, Moriah Keller, and Birdeena (Chris) Fleck; sons, Joe, Eric (Talona), and Elwon Bakly; siblings, Kathrine Gifford, Carol Smith, Joe (Louise) Corbett, Donald (Sharon) Fromm, Roger (Mardelle) Fromm, Shirley (Robert) Kranz; 25 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
