Jennifer Mae Loyd Otis, 68, passed away on December 18, 2018 following a long illness. She was born on August 15, 1950 in Arkansas to Eugene and June Loyd. She is a graduate of Alameda High School in Lakewood, Colorado. Jennifer married her pen pal, Larry Otis in 1972 and moved to Great Falls at that time. She continued her education with classes at MSU Great Falls. The family increased with the addition of two sons, Terry and Michael and Jenny became a proud full-time mother.
Jennifer is a member of the Church of the Incarnation Episcopal Church and was an active participant in the Clothing Closet. She remained connected to family and friends during her many health issues through the internet, sharing inspirational sayings, recipes, and beautiful places with her friends.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Larry Otis of Great Falls and her sons, Terry and Michael also of Great Falls. She is also survived by her sisters, Susan Davis of Palmer Lake, CO and Georgia Loyd of Denver, CO and sister in law, Elaine Otis Gingery of Helena; brothers in law, Don Otis of Hobson and Max Otis of Belgrade and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Jenny’s life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Incarnation Episcopal Church, 600 Third Avenue North in Great Falls.
