Jerry Galbreath Obituary

Jerry Mark Galbreath (JM) 77, passed away peacefully on October 6th, 2018 surrounded by family in Cut Bank, MT. A Wake will begin Tuesday, October 9 at 1PM at the Glacier Homes Center in Browning. The Funeral Service will be held the following day at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also in Browning, on Wednesday, October 10, at 1 PM.

Jerry was born November 12, 1940, in Browning MT to parents Kenneth (Duffy) and Alice Galbreath. There he grew up and attended school, graduating in 1957. Following school, Jerry remained on the family ranch where he worked alongside his father.  Throughout his life, Jerry did various other jobs such as assisting with relief for hurricane Katrina, maintenance, laborer, and probably the most memorable, working as an outfitting guide and packer.

Jerry's hobbies included, camping, making halters, trapping, traveling, reading, cheering on the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks, and spending time with his many friends and family, especially his grandkids. Throughout Jerry's life he rodeoed all over the United States and Canada. He not only enjoyed participating, he loved being a spectator in his later years. Rodeo was more than just a sport to him, it was a way of life.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Whitford Galbreath of Babb; daughters, Gina (Tim) Tailfeathers, Tracy (Eugene) Creighton of Alberta, Canada, Duffy Jo (Garrett) Nodland of Dickinson ND, Tawny (Herbert) Still Smoking, Megan Galbreath of Cut Bank; brother, Kenneth (Barbara) Galbreath of Browning; and sister, Shirley Galbreath (Sam) of Babb. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; numerous brother in-laws, sister in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sheila Barnes; daughter, Jeri Marie Galbreath; nephew, Brent Barnes; granddaughters, Kaci and Kadee Still Smoking.
