Johnny wished to remain in his home, which was honored by his family with assistance from Peace Hospice of Great Falls, until he passed away on June 30, 2017. His wife og 62 years, Jean, and their children; Steven, David, and Heather were with him. Johnny was preceded in death by his youngest son, Timothy.

Johnny was born in Arkansas in 1933 and was the eldest child. His family moved to Washington state and then to California, where he worked on a farm with his father. At 14 he returned to Washington where he graduated from high school and soon after enlisted in the Air Force. In 1953, he was stationed in the U.K, where he met Jean. Jean lived in a small village not far from base. Within a couple fo years Johnny and Jean married, Steven was born, and they were assigned to Malmstrom AFB. They lived in Belt and Johnny worked on Jake Halmes’ ranch, which he greatly enjoyed. While in the Great Falls area, David and Timothy joined the family. In 1960 Pyote AFB in West Texas was “home, and Heather was born, completing the family.

Services will be held on September 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM at The Cascade United Methodist Church.
