John F. “Pete” Price, 79, of Great Falls, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 surrounded by his family. A Visitation will be held in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 6-8 pm. The Funeral service will take place, Saturday, June 2nd at 2pm at Croxford Funeral Home with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.
Pete was born to William and Ida Price in Great Falls on September 2, 1938. In 1958, Pete married the love of his life June Pronto. Together their lives were blessed with six children: Larry, John, Bobby, Laurie, Michael and Richard. Pete owned and operated a local roofing company from 1970 until his retirement. Pete was an avid racecar driver, drag racer, and supporter of the Electric City Speedway. As a snowmobile racer he was known as “King of the Hill,” and sat as a member of the first snowmobile club Board of Directors. This love of racing was handed down to his sons and grandson, Joey Price.
Pete is survived by his wife, June of 60 years, their children, several grandchildren, great grandchildren; and his sister, Donna Wadsworth. Pete will be greatly missed, his honesty, integrity, and way of life will be embedded in his family who will carry on.
