Lillian Rose Whitford

Lillian Rose Whitford, 85, of Babb, passed away October 4, 2018. A Wake in her honor begins Saturday Oct 6th, at 3:00 PM at The United Methodist Church in Babb, MT, with a Rosary for Lillian being held on Sunday, October 7th at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, Oct 8th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Parish in Babb, MT.

Lillian was born on April 30th, 1933 in Browning, to George Peterson and Justine Flamond. She married Peter S. Whitford on September 15th, 1951 in Cardston, Alberta. They were married for 62 years before his passing.

Lillian enjoyed spending time in her garden planting beautiful flowers. She enjoyed relaxing by sewing, completing puzzles and gambling. She had an amazing talent of knitting and cross stitching. Her biggest success was her family. Lillian was able to be home for her children while they were younger and was proud to be a homemaker.

Survivors are sons, Jerry, Bill, Vernon; daughters, Patty, Peggy, Carol Ann, and Mitzi; sisters, Betty Fenner, Lorraine “Junebug” Burns, Evelyn Feathers; brothers, Jerry Peterson, Walter Peterson; 20 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Those who have preceded Lillian in death include her husband, Peter Whitford; son, Gary Joe; sister, Pearl Simmons; brothers, Rodney and Kenny Peterson; parents, George Peterson and Justine Flamond; grandparents, Joe and Eliza Flamond.
