LynnAnn Somppi died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday evening, July 11, 2017. Services will be held on Wednesday July 19 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1015 15th Ave South, with burial of ashes to follow at Highland Cemetery.

                She started life in Great Falls at the Columbus Hospital on December 19, 1954, to Ernest G. and Evelyn (Foxall) Somppi. Attending Emerson, Paris Gibson, and Great Falls High, she graduated in 1973. She then went on to study early childhood education at Brigham Young University in Utah. She moved to the Bay area in California, just before graduation, in 1978.  Most recently she has been recognized for her cinnamon rolls, banana bread and cookies.

                For more than 30 years she had bilingual, Spanish/ English child care facilities. LynnAnn instilled values, skills, and self-esteem in hundreds of children. This fulfilled one of her three great loves, children. She cared for children, loved her family and loved numbers.

                LynnAnn and her sister Jane returned full time to the family home in Great Falls, in 2009. She reconnected with old friends and met many new ones. She will be missed by many.

                LynnAnn is survived by her brothers and sisters; Kathie (Steven) Zobell, Jim Somppi, Mary Ellen (Roger) Gilbert, Bill (Rosanne) Somppi, and Jane Somppi; her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
