Mary Denise (Bleak) Holden

On Friday, January 26, 2018 we said goodbye to Mary Denise Holden 81, of Great Falls, after a long battle with cancer.  Per her wishes no services will be held.

Born April 29, 1936 in Los Angeles, CA to Roulon and Mary Stackhouse Bleak, Mary attended the local schools, and graduated from the local high school.  In 1954 she married Sidney R. Hester in Newhall, CA, and although they divorced in 1976, they were blessed with two sons.  She found love again in Tom Holden, and they married in Tumwater, WA, in 1985. The two remained together until his untimely passing in 1995.

Mary was a homemaker, who helped support the family as a dog groomer.  She later worked at retirement homes in Washington.  She loved horses and dogs, and rarely had a picture taken without a dog by her side.  She was an avid reader and like to paint in her later years.

Survivors include her sons, Stephen A. Hester of Great Falls and Bret Hester of Tumwater, WA.
