Myrl J. Campbell, “Cass”, 80, of Ft. Benton, passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday, September 13, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Cremation has taken place under the care of Croxford Funeral Home in Great Falls, MT.

Myrl was born on February 3, 1938 in Riverside, CA to Milton and Jane Campbell.  After losing his parents at early age, he was adopted by his grandparents, Lida and Frank. He was raised in Sheridan, WY, graduating from the Sheridan Schools. In all he lived in Sheridan for 45 years, where he met the love of his life, Cheryl L.  Kaminsky, through his cousin Bob Spear. They dated for three years until they married on October 20, 1991, enjoying the next 26 years together until his passing. Myrl was known as a “Jack of all trades and an extremely hard worker. He worked mainly construction and Mechanics. His earliest job, however, was at the Sheridan Beer Bottling plant. He went on to work for 25 years for J.D Pelesky. He then partnered with Ken Webelow at C Bar K.

To describe the man, words like honest, trustworthy and above all loyal come to mind. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. His step children, who were always there for him, loved him dearly.

“Cass” was a man of many passions. He loved fishing, boating, camping, traveling, golf, motorcycles and old cars. He was a long time member of the Sheridan cars club and motorcycle club, as well as the Shriners and Jesters. Those who knew him also knew his love of Denver Bronco Football.

Myrl had a long battle with diabetes and kidney disease. His loving wife Cheryl kept him at home, caring for him for as long as she could. He will live on forever in their hearts.

Myrl leaves behind his wife, Cheryl L. Campbell; step sons, Ryon Pleines and Scott (Mirna) Pleines; step daughters, Christa Bronec and Paula (Paul) Pleines (Brown); sister in law, Helen Campbell, a niece and a couple of nephews and many cousins; grandchildren, Brandon Pleines, Shawn Pleines, Joseph Myrl, Axel James Brown, Kylah Pleines, Emma Bronec, Tristian Brown, Jessica Campbell, Joshua Campbell, Dylan Peterson, Dexter Peterson.

He goes on to join his parents, grandparents; brother Howard Campbell; infant daughter, Shannon Campbell. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.croxfordfuneralhome.com.
