Ouida Lowrimore Addison peacefully passed away in her sleep on January 30, 2018 at her home.
Ouida was born in Waynesboro, Mississippi, on January 10, 1934 to parents Irene and Marlin Lowrimore. In 1957 she completed her RN degree in Laurel, Mississippi .
Ouida married her first husband, Roy Baggett Sr., in 1955 and they moved to Great Falls while he was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base. They later divorced. They had 2 sons, Roy and Darryl who were both raised in Great Falls.
Ouida worked as an ICU nurse at Columbus Hospital and later as office nurse for her second husband, Dr. Robert M. Addison, whom she married in 1973. Ouida and Bob had 41 wonderful years together until his passing in 2014. They had a fulfilling medical practice together until retirement in 1995. Ouida enjoyed skiing, hiking, traveling and playing bridge. Ouida and Bob were very active in the local bridge club and traveled extensively to participate in bridge tournaments. Ouida received Grand Life Master status in 2010. She continued to enjoy traveling, playing bridge and working out at the PEAK until the day before she died.
Ouida is survived by her son Darryl Baggett of Great Falls; step children, Brice Addison, Mary (Mitch) Stelling, and Elizabeth O’Connor all of Great Falls, John (Polly) Addison and Ann (Kurt) Zylstra of Seattle, WA; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandson; niece, Robyn Taylor and sister-in-law, Sylvia Lowrimore.
Ouida was preceded in death by her parents, her son Roy Baggett Jr., and her 3 brothers: Bobby Taylor, Jack Taylor and Gerald Lowrimore.
A Memorial Service is planned for 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at First Congregational United Church of Christ at 2900 9th AV S. In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to the Great Falls Symphony or Eagle Mount.
