Tracey Jade (T.J.) Johnston
Tracey Jade (T.J.) Johnston 46, of Great Falls, MT, passed away December 12, 2018. A gathering in celebration of T.J’s life will be held at 2PM on Friday December 21, 2018.at the “Hide Out Lounge” 2401 12th Ave S, Great Falls, MT 59405.
T.J. was born on August 8 in Havre, MT and was raised there by Beth and Duane Johnston. After completing his education at Havre High and Paris Gibson T.J. found satisfying work in security, then landscaping and later as a fisherman fishing off boats near beautiful Dutch Harbor, Alaska. Although T.J. was meticulously clean, he also loved getting his hands dirty and celebrated working in the oil fields. Most recently Tracey was employed with the Talcott Construction company as a carpenter.
Over his life he lived in Great Falls, MT, Alaska, Alaska, Whitefish, MT, Seattle WA and Havre, MT. T.J. made friends everywhere he went, whether at work or play his smile attracted people to him. He would marry Mandy in 2003 in Coeur d’Alene, ID and from this union came twin sons Connor and Cole Johnston. The relationship ended four years later.
T.J. loved snowmobiling, snowboarding, skiing, jet skiing, car racing, and was known for having a fascination with going fast. He also enjoyed motorcycles, especially dirt bikes and championed the Philadelphia Eagles, and NFL.
T.J. is survived by parents Beth Ann Johnston, Duane (Paula) Johnston; sons, Connor and Cole Johnston; step children; Brandon Huntington, Brooke Huntington, brother, Klay (Koni) Johnston; nephew, Kagen May, and nieces, Jossalyn Johnston, Keaton Normandy and many aunts and uncles.
Those who have preceded T.J. in death include his grandparents, Garald and Alice Ferch, Jack and Jean Johnston.
