Barbara Lee Clayton, 59, of Great Falls passed away on April 28, 2021 surrounded by her adoring family. A Celebration of Life will be held on MONDAY, May 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM in The Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home.
Bobbie, as those that knew her called her, was born on September 6, 1961 in Tripoli, South Africa to Donald and Florence Clayton. The family soon moved to Great Falls, MT where she was raised, eventually graduating from Great Falls High School. It was here, at the Feed Lot, that she would meet the love of her life, Lydia DuBois.
“Stronger than any man I knew.” Is how her son Cody remembers her, others may remember her as a cook, a carpenter, or a homemaker. She made a home with her partner, Lydia for over 30 years. Together they raised a family. That was what was most important to her, family. To quote Bobbie herself, “Family first.” She was the greatest teacher in life to them, especially her son, Kolten.
Bobbie could usually be found cooking, coloring, or doing yard work. She loved the outdoors, going fishing or hunting. Her greatest passion though was helping people. “Do You need anything?” she would often ask. She was a true jewel in the crown of humanity.
Bobbie will be missed by all the lives she touched but especially her partner, Lydia of Great Falls; sons, Cody (Drue), and Kolten (Lisa) of Great Falls; 24 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren.
