Bridget (Dostie) Thoman Obituary

Bridget Lee (Dostie) Thoman, 27, of Great Falls passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2020. A Celebration of her life will be held on SATURDAY, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the New City Church.

Bridget was born on October 8, 1992 in Panama City, FL to Michael and Andrea (Gilbreath) Dostie. Her dad was stationed there in the Air Force for a time, but his career would also bring the young family to live in England for a stint, before ultimately moving back to Great Falls, the place they called home.

Loving her family is the legacy that she passes on to us all. She was both a “momma’s girl” and a “daddy’s girl.” Andrea adored being a mom to Bridget. They were always together shopping, sharing stories, and laughing through their lunches together.  Their family time was always a celebration.  Bridget knew her mom was always by her side.  Her favorite times were watching Andrea love, laugh, and enjoy every second she spent with the kids.  Bridget also loved to travel.  Some of her happiest memories were from family trips with all her aunts and cousins.

Mike was made to be Bridget’s dad. He loved his little girl. As a child she always talked about how much she enjoyed his cooking. Mike would just laugh. In later year Bridget would spend family time out at his cabin with the grandkids. Always hiking and riding ATV’s. All focused on the time together. They were a team.

In Bridget’s own words, her greatest accomplishment was being a Mom. She loved her sons Grayson and Maddox with a passion and was filled with hopes and dreams for them to have a beautiful life. Bridget was married July 16, 2017 to her husband David Thoman. Bridget was a loving and caring wife to David, together they had Maddox and raised Grayson as a family.

Bridget was preceded in passing by her grandmother, Patsy Gilbreath; grandfather, Duane Dostie.

She is survived by her children, Grayson Michael Dostie-Bryant, and Maddox Russell Thoman; husband, David R. Thoman; mother, Andrea Gilbreath Dostie; father, Michael (Rayna) Dostie; grandmother, Patsy Dostie; grandfather, Eddie Gilbreath; sister, Nicole Morin; aunts, Dawn (Lyle) Baker, Timi Gilbreath, Danielle Gilbreath (Greg C. Little), Kathy Dostie Barrett of Huntsville, AL, and Debra Dostie of Atlanta, GA; mother-in-law, Angela Davis; father-in-law, Rick Thoman; nieces and nephews, David and Jameina Wells-Ducharme, Dallas and Austin White-Ducharme; cousins, Amanda Gilbreath, Zac Barrett, Amy Barrett, Ivy Baker (Matt), Holly Wulf (Josh), Zaviyar, Zavier, Rachel, and Giovanni.

On behalf of the entire family, we mourn the loss of Bridget.  We lean on the Lord for grace and strength, as we know she is saved by Jesus and forever in his arms.  We look to her beautiful legacy of love through the eyes of her children and ask for your daily prayers, love and commitment to join us to establish a path for these boys guided by the love and faith of Jesus Christ.  Together we can fulfill her dream to keep them safe, love them unconditionally, and work to establish their footsteps firm in Jesus to become the young men their mom dreamed of.  Grayson and Maddox are forever loved in her name.  Amen.

In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a Go Fund Me page for Grayson and Maddox, her two young sons that she leaves behind. You will be able to get the link from the Facebook page of both Andrea Dostie and Michael Dostie.
