Carol Anne (Johnson) Oswalt
Carol Anne (Johnson) Oswalt passed away at her home in Deer Park, WA on September 30, 2021. She was born in Great Falls, MT on February 24, 1939 to Eugene A. Johnson, Sr. and Anne C. (Majewski) Johnson. She grew up in Great Falls. As a young girl she enjoyed playing sports, going to baseball games and fishing with her dad, and summers spent visiting her aunt and uncles farm. Shortly after graduating from highschool while working at the Liberty Theater she met the love of her life, Gary Lee Oswalt. They were married on February 14, 1958, and were married for 22 years prior to Gary's passing in 1981. She worked various jobs in Great Falls including Snyder Drug, World Wide Press, and Anthonys. She enjoyed working in her yard, playing pool, and softball. In 1993 Carol moved to Deer Park, WA to be closer to family.
Carol's time in WA was spent helping with grandchildren, reading books, doing puzzles, and trips to the casino. Many of her last years were spent taking care of her youngest son, Jim. She took great pride in being his caretaker. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gary, son James, grandson Dustin, brothers Eugene, Kenneth, and James and sister Evelynn Johnson. She is survived by her son Danny of Deer Park, WA, Brian (Linda) of Henderson, NV, Kim (Lyle) Crecelius of Deer Park, Amanda Willden (Chris) of Oakhurst, CA. Grandchildren Erica, Dylan (Sabrina) Oswalt, Gary, Andrew, and Jessica Lanford, Christien and Jeremiah Willden, and one great-grandson, Gary's son, Dean.
Viewing will be held on Saturday October 9th at Croxford's Funeral Home from 3 to 4. The family will be having a private memorial at a later time. Memorials may be sent to North Country Gardeners.
