Charles Richard “Dick” Alzheimer, 79, of Great Falls, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on October 26, 2015, his loving wife Judy was by his side.

Per Dick’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a family gathering to celebrate his life and legacy will take place at a later date.

Dick was born on November 12, 1935 in Conrad, Montana to George and Mabel Alzheimer. He was raised in Brady and Great Falls; attending high school at Central and Great Falls High.

In 1954 Dick began his apprenticeship at Bennett Motors, this began a life-long career building motors and racing motors. He could work on anything! He carried his love of all things automotive to his home life, spending his free time in the garage working on many projects. He enjoyed racing, stock cars, top alcohol funny cars and NASCAR. He shared this knowledge with his son, Ron, working with him in the garage often. Dick also loved riding on his Harley and watching motorcycle racing.

Dick is survived by his family, his pride and joy; his wife and sweetheart of sixty years, Judy; their children, Marlas Prevo of Nevada; Lynn (Steve) Knutson of Alaska; Diane Harrison of Great Falls; Richard Alzheimer of Great Falls; and Ron Alzheimer of Washington state; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter Kari Sullivan.
