Charles "Chuck" Klassen

Charles Lawrence Klassen, 78, of Great Falls, passed away on May 8, 2018 at Peace Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Croxford Funeral Home in The Rose Room Chapel with military honors.

Chuck was born on June 14, 1939 in Great Falls to Robert and Dorothy (Allum) Klassen. Chuck was raised in Great Falls and ultimately graduated from Great Falls Community College with a degree in accounting. In 1959 he married Charlene Miller in Fort Benton. They remained together until 1961. He then later married Shyla Vice on June 23, 1973 until her passing in 1995. He worked many jobs, first as a railroad laborer before moving on to the National Guard where he worked as an air craft refueler. He moved on to Walsh Anderson lumber company and then won election to Constable. As constable he served honorably for 35 years before retiring. He also served as board member and treasurer for OPP. Inc. and was also a member of the Elks and Eagles Clubs. Through it all he managed to be a loving father and grandfather, the “best one out there.”

Chuck was known as a “jokester” who enjoyed taking road trips, taking a bunch of photographs, camping, cooking, going to community events, but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and of course the pets he loved so much.

Chuck leaves behind sons, Ron and TJ Klassen; sister, Teddie Anderson; grandchildren, Echo Bekkering, Sheianne Johnson, Jake Johnson, and Jeremiah Johnson; great grandchildren, Emma, Grayson, Charles, Sativia and Zora; special friends, The Robinsons, Tyler, Kim, Skye, and Kaela.

Chuck joins his parents, Bobby Klassen, Dorothy Allaum, Roberta Atchison and Butch Blayloc.
