Born in Zimmerman, MN on September 9, 1931 to Palmer and Dorothy (Ericson) Fladstol, the family moved to Conrad, MT where he graduated from Conrad High School. He met Ruby Mae Mariner in Conrad, marrying her on September 9, 1954 at the Pondera Lutheran Church. They remained together for 38 years until her untimely passing. The family lived in Conrad until 1966-67 when they moved to Great Falls, eventually moving to a home in Riverview, where they would live permanently.
Clint worked at a Texaco station for a time, then as a police officer in Conrad. When they moved to Great Falls he worked as a truck driver, also at another Texaco station while at the same time working at the YMCA. He worked nights and weekends putting up chain link fencing for many years. While working tirelessly to support his family, Clint somehow found the time to get a degree in Math from the College of MT in Great Falls. He eventually got a job working for the School District and retired from the Grounds Department there after serving 25 years with them.
Clint was very proud of his time working with the Civil Defense on the Grounds Observer Corps, Air Defense Command, earning recognition in July 1957. He enjoyed working with wood with his son, Rusty, going for rides to see old and new places around the state, and watching the wildlife wandering by.
Survivors include his sons, Rocky Fladstol of Virginia, Rusty Fladstol and Robin Fladstol, both of Great Falls; brother Terry (Karla) Fladstol in Alabama; grandsons, Joshua (Malenda) Fladstol, Jonah Kaun and Derek Brown; great-grandkids, McKenzie, Baylea, Payslee, Meryl and Russell.
Those who have preceded him in death include his beloved wife, Ruby Fladstol; his parents; daughter, LaRae (Kaun) Fladstol; granddaughter, LaMae Kaun.
