Dennis Robert Berczyk, 80, of Great Falls, passed away of natural causes on Thursday, May 9, 2019. Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home.
Dennis was born on October 10, 1938, in Browerville, MN to parents George and Elsie Berczyk. At 18, Dennis enlisted in the United States Air Force. He proudly served four years before being medically discharged. During his tour, he served in Northern Africa before finishing his duties at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls. Upon returning to civilian life, Dennis built his career life as a mechanic, owning and operating several service stations and working out of his own home shop. Some of his years were spent working for Mills Motors in Fairfield and Haggerty Chrysler Motors in Great Falls.
While working in Fairfield, Dennis met who would be the love of his life, Joanne Jacobsen. In 1965 they got married in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Together their lives were blessed with two daughters and an unofficial adopted son. They lived a long full life, having had 53 wonderful years together. He also had a daughter and son from a previous marriage.
Between family and work, Dennis also found time to enjoy a variety of hobbies. He loved snowmobile racing in the winter and lived life the way he wanted, fishing, camping, hunting, watching NASCAR and enjoying his family and friends and his dog Ellie Mae. He did it his way (most of the time).
