Dennis W. Smrdel

Dennis W. Smrdel of North Las Vegas, Nevada, a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, passed away September 18, 2023 at the age of 78 after a long struggle with cancer.

Dennis was born July 25, 1945 in Great Falls, Montana.  His parents were Jackie and Joe Smrdel.  He lived in Great Falls until 2003 when he and his wife moved to Lincoln, Montana

He joined the Montana Air National Guard in 1966 and retired in 1997 as an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor after serving for over 30 years.  He considered MANG as his second family.

He enjoyed bowling, mortorcycle riding, woodcarving, traveling in his motor coach and spending time with family and friends. 

Dennis is survived by his wife Susan of over 40 years; daughters, Denys (Mark) Lemoine of Buckley, WA and Darci (Gary) Combs of Auburn, WA; brother, Dan (Kim) Smrdel of Seeley Lake, MT; brother -in-law, Steve (LInda) Lyczewski of Great Falls; step-daughters, Laurie (Brian) Leneschmidt of St. Petersburg, FL and Stayce Naranjo (Dan Cook) of Great Falls, MT; grandchildren, Wyatt, Jessie, Kyle, Chloe, Tristan; nieces, Amanda (Ryan) Harwood of Provo, UT and Kim (Chris) Kennedy of Cheyenne, WY. 

A Celebration of Life for his friends and family will be held in July 2024 with a military funeral and interment of ashes at Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison, Helena, MT.  Time and date to be determined later.

Your battle is now over, no more pain, no more suffering. I can no longer see you with my eyes or touch you with my hands, but I will feel you in my HEART forever!
